And She Lived Happily Ever After || Ariel’s Goodbye Post

The pain was unbearable. He was inflicting my pain, the guy I used to like—my own district partner. I felt the knife puncture my left eye, stabbing the retina. My screams were heard through the entire arena. My nails gripped the dirt; it was no use trying to get him off me. He ripped the knife out of my eye and gouged my right eye. The pain wasn’t bearable; I was facing my imminent demise. This is how I was going to die; if I hadn’t volunteered for Aria, would she have died the same way? The knife dug deeper into my skull, puncturing my brain and instantly killing me.

Now or Never. || Ariel OneShot

The waterfall was in her sight. Ariel sighed in relief when she reached it. Of course, the water was behind the mountain. She stood still, hiding in the shadows from the forest. The waterfall was in plain view, “Who else came here?” Ariel looked into the distance hoping not to spot any tributes. Night was soon to come, and she had a feeling staying in place is not a good idea. Ariel cautiously walked towards the waterfall, the water rushing reminded Ariel of home, “Stop, you cant do this to youself.”
The water was dark blue due to the nightfall. Ariel walked to the right hoping to find a place to sleep for the night.
“Sleeping alone isnt a good idea. If someone kills me while i sleep,” Ariel walks towards the base of the mountain to her right. She hesitantly sits upon a rock, hiding her view from where she came. Ariel clutched the spiked mace looking straight ahead. (North-West of the cornucopia) “I remember tributes running this way. I either kill them, or team with them.” Ariel eyes were wide open, listening to the water’s movements reminded her of home. She remembers volunteering for Aria, her best friend. A tear escapes her eye, the thought of not returning home taunted Ariel. She managed to keep heself stable, repeating the same phrase over and over again: Stay focused. Ariel could spot out two tribute silhouettes. She stands up wiping the dirt her pants, before walking towards the two tributes. “It’s now, or never.”

The Best Option. || Ariel OneShot

Ariel ran west from the bloodbath. The blood from Topher still stained her hands as well as the mace. Once she knew the Cornicopia was far behind, Ariel slowed down her pacing. The Cornucopia was surrounded by a dense forest, it took Ariel a couple minutes to ease through the thick trees. The air was thin; Ariel knew she had to slow down her beathing, but the bloodbath made her shaky. Thankfully no one tried to attack her during the massacre. She was alone now, Seth was no where near her when she ran away. As Ariel counted the ten cannons, she knew Seth was one of them. The trees broke away, leaving a mountian in her view.
“Holy Shit.” She had to think quick. Either climb the mountain, or go around it.
“Where there is a mountain, there is water. And i need that.” Ariel spoke to herself to keep her sanity stable. Ariel stood still. She needed to think of a plan. The throwing knives were tucked safely in her jacket, the only object she held was the bloody spiked mace. Her knuckles turned white, as Ariel tightly gripped the bloody weapon, if anyone was to come behind, Ariel would quickly throw the weapon. She looked around the arena for the first time. The mountain infront of her. The dense trees behind her aswell as to the left. Ariel turned on her heels, facing the forest to her left. “Please be a good idea.” Ariel began to walk straight ahead, into the belly of the beast.

•Fleur wanted Ariel to look sexy. But also represent her district, so she came up with the idea of a sailor. The simple oufit will make Ariel look pleasing to the Capitol.
•Juliee styled Ariel’s shoulder-length hair in curls. She also let the curls fall to look more natural.
•Auvia helped by styling her eyebrows. She also waxed any other hair that would be showing. Auvia was in charge of Ariel’s make-up. She gave the District Four girl the ‘smokey eyed look’ to match the navy blue in her outfit.
•Ivy made Ariel’s nails match her interview outfit. The easy sailor nails. The nails were not elegant, but they are simply cute. Ariel was exstatic by Ivy’s nail work. The outcome made Ivy proud to be a nail stylist.
